Assisted Living Aide Training- Certificate (Toledo, Ohio)- Discontinued as of 09/01/2020

Toledo Career Institute's Assisted Living Aid- Certificate program will enable the student to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills needed for entry level high demand jobs in residential care/ assisted living facilities and other community settings such as adult foster homes and adult group homes.


The program is designed to facilitate the students with the career education required to prepare them for employment as an assisted living aide throughout the state of Ohio. The program may also be applied to get certified as a home health aide.The training program does not count toward or qualify for a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification. Therefore, it does not qualify one to work in nursing homes or hospitals.

According to the United States Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, between 2012-22, jobs for personal care aides in general are expected grow by 49%, much faster than the average of all occupations.
